Not much time to post..

Sorry, every time I get on to post baby Jack pulls me away...

We have been home for 6 nights, of which two of them were without sleep. Tuesday night my poor baby was up all night, tummy gas and not pooping...
I took him to the doctors on Wednesday and they said to give him 2oz of water a day. So far still no poop. My SIL did tell me to get Mylicon for the gas and this has helped a lot... Last night he only got up twice...

I am back to babies r us for the 3rd time this week...

I think I will only be here in MI for one more week and then back to IL... I long for my bed. My Brother and SIL have been great, I am staying at their house until all the paper work is done. Now that the termination of perental rights is done the paper work goes to MI for their approval to take baby Jack out of state. Then the paper work goes to IL for approval to bring him into IL state, with any luck this will be completed by next week Tuesday or Wednesday..

All for now my SIL is waiting on me to go to babies r us..

Have a wonderful night, I will try to post more tomorrow..

Hugs..

Oh, and please pray for my baby to go poop...

Baby Shower

baby shower was Sunday...
Thank you Mom, Jennifer, Jill, Tammy and Teri for making it a wonderful day...

Doctors visit and sleeping...

Today was our first doctors visit, Jack Frankie is a strong healthy little boy.
He is just a little guy, on the standard growth charts he is in the 5-10% for his age. However the doctor assured us that he will catch up in the coming months. Next doctors visit will be in IL in one month.

Jack is sleeping much better, he now eats every 4 hours, I give him his last feeding at 10 PM then I go to sleep and sleep till 2am and then back up at 6:30 and again at 9 am. I am much better that he sleep for at least 4 hours.

next post will have pictures...

Legacy of an adopted Child......

Legacy of an Adopted Child
Author: Unknown

Once there were two people, who never knew each other.
One you do not remember, the other you call mother.
Two different lives shaped to make yours one.
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun.
The first gave you life, and the second taught you to live it.
The first gave you the need for love, and the second was there to give it.
One gave you nationality, the other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of talent, the other gave you aim.
One gave you emotion, the other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried your tears.
One gave you up, it was all that she could do.
The other prayed for a child, and God led her straight to you.
And now you ask me through your tears, the age-old question through the years.
- Which are you a product of?
Neither my darling, neither - Just two different kinds of love.

Thoughts on Becoming a Mother

Thoughts on Becoming a Mother
There are women that become mothers without effort, without thought, without patience or loss and though they are good mothers and love their children, I know that I will be better.
I will be better not because of genetics, or money or that I have read more books,
but because I have struggled and toiled for this child.
I have longed and waited. I have cried and prayed.
I have endured and planned over and over again.
Like most things in life, the people who truly have appreciation are those who have struggled to attain their dreams.
I will notice everything about my child.
I will take time to watch my child sleep, explore and discover. I will marvel at this miracle every day for the rest of my life.
I will be happy when I wake in the middle of the night to the sound of my child, knowing that I can comfort, hold and feed him and that I am not waking to take another temperature, pop another pill, take another shot or cry tears of a broken dream. My dream will be crying for me.
I count myself lucky in this sense; that God has given me this insight, this special vision with which I will look upon my child that my friends will not see.
Whether I parent a child I actually give birth to or a child that God leads me to, I will not be careless with my love.
I will be a better mother for all that I have endured. I am a better aunt, a better daughter, neighbor, friend and sister because I have known pain.
I know disillusionment as I have been betrayed by my own body, I have been tried by fire and hell many never face, yet given time, I stood tall.
I have prevailed.
I have succeeded.
I have won.
So now, when others hurt around me, I do not run from their pain in order to save myself discomfort. I see it, mourn it, and join them in theirs.
I listen.
And even though I cannot make it better, I can make it less lonely. I have learned the immerse power of another hand holding tight to mine, of other eyes that moisten as they learn to accept the harsh truth and when life is beyond hard. I have learned a compassion that only comes with walking in those shoes.
I have learned to appreciate life.
Yes I will be a wonderful mother.
