Today was baby Jacks 1 month old visit....
He is now 7 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long... wow was I shocked my baby is growing like crazy.. :- )
The doctor says not to worry about the pooping issue, since I have tried 4 formulas and had no change that I need to accept this is how is bowels work.. So every 4th night I will get no sleep ( this was last night I have been up since 2 am).
He got his second Hep B shot..
Next doctors visit is next month Dec 12.
I am going to Florida next week to spend 2 weeks with my mom and dad, I can't wait to get to the warm weather, I will try to post but there is no Internet at my parents house so it may only be once or twice...

One Month Old today.....
My baby is one month old today... He was born at 6:42 EST in 9 min he is one month old...
He eats great, sleeps most of the time, I think his days and nights are mixed up right now. He follows me with his eyes and makes eye contact. We are now at 1 poop per day for two days in a row and he just started his 4th type of formula yesterday. We are now on Soy, his tummy seems to like this better.
It is still hard for me to believe that 12 weeks ago today I was called by the birth mom's sister and here I am home with my baby for 1 month.. God is amazing I thank him daily for my beautiful son...
I have taken many pictures today... Enjoy...

Pooping issues continue....
UGH!!!!
No poop yesterday and today back to hard poop... I thought this was over...Poor baby he screamed in pain today with his poop... Keep this problem in your prayers, praying I find a solution...

Election Day!!!

Jack and I will leave at 9:30 to go vote, I am hoping the morning rush will be winding down by then... One can only hope....I will have back up formula and diapers just in case the wait is long.
The new formula seems to be working,Good Start by Nestle... Baby Jack had two BMs yesterday and mommy was very happy....

Finally time to post...
Sunday morning and baby Jack slept good last night..
I came back to IL 9 days ago, mom and I did the drive with baby Jack and then dad came the next day. We spent the next few days unpacking and setting up all the baby stuff from my baby shower. (Thank you again for the wonderful gifts)
Since I am in IL and winter is fast approaching dad helped me pull in all the patio furniture and winterize the outside while mom baby sat her grandson... : - )
Mom and Dad left the middle of this week, they were such a great help I miss them lots....
Update on his pooping or (BM as grandma likes it called)...
Every 4 days he has really hard BM's and then on the 5th a mooshy one, I was going to go to the doctor this past Monday but cancelled since he had his mooshy poop and I figured there was nothing they would do...
By Thursday he was getting fussy and starting his hard BM's again, so I broke down and got in with the new pediatrician. They changed his formula from Enfamil Lipil to Enfamil Gentlease Lipil. Thursday night with the first bottle of the new formula he did not initially like it, it is a more liquid formula and he could tell.
After he ate it he seemed really gassy. Thursday night he seemed a bit fussy but I continued the new formula,Friday was a soft poop but this is still his normal routine on the 5th day to have a soft poop. By Saturday morning 2 am my poor baby was screaming in pain with the gas and even though he pooped on Friday he was really hurting.. I called the doctor back and he said to keep him on the new formula for a few more days and lets see what happens.
By 10 am Saturday baby Jack finally fell asleep I am sure by pure exhaustion. But by 2 pm he was really fussy again and screaming like crazy. I gave him 2 oz of water with karo syrup and got on line to read about constipation.
I came across a post where moms having problems with both the Enfamils I tried switched to Nestle Good Start Supreme. My neighbor mentioned this also to me on Friday.
By 6 PM Saturday and at my wits end with a very upset baby so I packed us up and I went to Target and got the Good Start. Let me add he screamed the entire way there, took a break of screaming when he was pushed in the cart and then screamed the entire way home. I seriously considered just walking around Target until they kicked us out since he was not screaming.. : - )
I gave him his first bottle of Good Start at 8 pm and by 8:30 he was sound asleep, no gas no fussing. I gave him another bottle at 11, 2:30 and 6:30 and he is no longer fussy, no longer crying and sleeping between each feeding.
Now to wait and see if he poops... He had a small soft poop last night at 2 am, not sure if that was because of the old formula or the water I gave him. Today I will wait and pray he has soft poops on this new formula.
Please keep praying for Jacks poops...
